Open6GHub+ at MWC 2026 in Barcelona
We’re proud to contribute to the German 6G-Plattform at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026 in Barcelona (2–5 March) as Open6GHub+, one of Germany’s national 6G transfer hubs.
Together with strong partners from research, industry, and the public sector, we are driving the transition of 6G from research into real-world application.
Why 6G? Why now?
Open6GHub+ builds on the successful work of Open6GHub and marks the transition into a new phase of 6G development—with a clear focus on transfer, implementation, and sustainable exploitation.
As the national 6G transfer hub, we bring cutting-edge research into industrial applications, standards, and markets, closing the gap between basic research and real economic and societal impact.
Our key focus areas are:
-
Secure and resilient communication systems
-
Integrating artificial intelligence into 6G
-
Enabling AI-based services through 6G technologies
-
Digital twins
-
Novel 3D network architectures, including satellite-based systems
-
Targeted strengthening of Germany’s and Europe’s technological sovereignty
Through open experimental platforms and OpenLabs, these technologies are tested, validated, and further developed together with industry, start-ups, SMEs, and public-sector stakeholders.
At MWC 2026, we will show how holistic communication and 3D connectivity in the 6G era bring together AI-native, spatially intelligent network architectures and integrated end-to-end communication. This enables adaptive connectivity, sensing, and intelligence across terrestrial, airborne, and space-based layers.
See you in Barcelona!
